BEER-GA-RITA #1
This is similar to a German or Austrian Radler and fantastic if served icy cold on a hot summer day. We provide a starting point and you should adjust to your personal taste.
- 3 parts Beer Wheat beers work great, dark beers don’t. It is also great with the reds, such as Killian’s Irish Red
- 1 to 2 parts Coyote Gold
FROZEN COYOTE GOLD® MARGARITA USING A TRUE FROZEN MACHINE
If you have access to a TRUE frozen margarita machine then it is very easy to make a great frozen margarita with Coyote Gold All Natural Margaritas.
Just mix the following in the reservoir of the frozen machine. Depending upon the type of machine and ambient temperature it will take 1 to 2 hours to freeze.
2 parts Coyote Gold
1 part Water
Store leftovers in your freezer for a great frozen anytime: See the “Stash of Gold” recipe above.
PARTY STYLE or YOUR STASH OF GOLD
- MIX the following in a container that can be safely used in a freezer. Cover or seal for safety.
2 parts Coyote Gold
1 part Water
- PLACE IN FREEZER overnight or longer based upon the quantity you plan to freeze and serve. Due to Coyote Gold’s high proof, it will NOT freeze solid like water, but will freeze similar to a slushy.
- TO SERVE, IF YOU HAVE A HAND HELD BLENDER OR EGG BEATER:
- Use a handheld blender or egg beater to mix and add the “fluff.” This works great in the larger containers.
- Keep container cold by placing it in a bucket of ice, let guests serve themselves with a soup ladle or big soup spoon.
- TO SERVE, IF YOU WANT TO USE A BLENDER:
- STIR well, as the alcohol, water and fruit juices freeze differently and, therefore, separate a bit;
- SCOOP into a good blender using a big serving spoon, soup ladle, shovel, or backend loader, depending upon the quantity you plan to serve;
- BLEND for 3 to 5 seconds: Blending mixes the ingredients and creates that “fluffy” texture just like a TRUE, but very expensive, frozen machine. Blending is optional, but preferred.
- Pour back into freezer container, keep container cold by placing it in a bucket of ice, let guests serve themselves with a soup ladle or big soup spoon.
- ENJOY!
Make a single margarita, a small batch for yourself and friends, or go ahead and make in a swimming pool in anticipation for your next party (Iet us know how you freeze that). At the party, leave it out for folks to blend and scoop out their own margarita.
Don’t worry about the leftovers, you can store whatever is left in the freezer (covered is best) and have a frozen margarita anytime you want. OPTION: Add fresh or frozen fruit or fruit syrups as desired.
THE EASIEST FROZEN MARGARITA
- Put a bottle of Coyote Gold in the freezer (it doesn’t matter if it has been opened or not). Allow to freeze overnight. It won’t freeze qite all the way to a solid, but more of a hard slush.
- When you want to have a frozen margarita, get the bottle out of the freezer, pop the white splash guard from the top with your fingernail or knife edge, squeeze the slushy, frozen Coyote Gold into your blender, add an equal amount of ice CUBES (adjust to your taste) and blend to your desired consistency. It makes an excellent frozen margarita and it is so easy and convenient. Three things to consider:
- If the Coyote Gold doesn’t squeeze out of the bottle right away just let the bottle sit around for a few minutes and it should soften enough to squeeze out;
- If you use CRUSHED icer, use ¾ part crushed ice to 1 part frozen Coyote Gold (adjust to desired taste);
- Add fresh or frozen fruit or fruit syrups to create your favorite flavor; for a super easy Strawberry Margarita, just add about 1 tbsp of Torani’s Strawberry Syrup per 1 cup of the frozen Coyote Gold Margaritas
TRUE FROZEN MARGARITAS
A TRUE restaurant-style frozen machine does two things: 1. It freezes all of the non-alcohol liquids in the margarita; 2. It mixes the ingredients thoroughly and creates a “fluffy” texture. However, most folks simply can’t justify spending thousands on a true frozen machine. The good news is that; if you have a standard residential refrigerator with a freezer section and a blender, you already have your own TRUE frozen margarita machine. The other good news is that you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on those FAKE frozen machines that simply chop up ice and mix with your liquid margarita.
